Areas of Expertise
Over the years, I have worked with college students, felons, individuals in state hospitals, as well as males and females with a variety of symptoms. However, I feel I do my best work in the realm of health psychology, which is the intersection between physical and emotional health. I find working with stressed out, overworked, underappreciated, and TIRED (!!!) mothers particularly rewarding.
My Approach
Human beings are designed to thrive, not just survive. I draw upon my intense training in cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as extensive backgrounds in health psychology and positive psychology when working with clients. I utilize a collaborative approach, and keep open lines of communication between myself and my clients regarding ongoing client needs. Mental health is like any other area of life: if we want to reach goals, we have to dig deep and put in the work, and I expect that from clients.
